Kind of want to do it, I think it'll be a good way to help me get serious again about my health. Lately, I've been having the laziest, most unmotivated cycling sessions.

My "training plan" so far is to be more dilligent about getting to sleep every night, then cycling 15 miles to work (and 15 back) every weekday, supplemented with over-distance rides on the weekends.
I could also alternate running/swimming M-W-F when I get home from work.
It's not much, but it's a start.

I've never run a marathon, when I was in peak running shape, I would bonk out at about 15 miles.

Maybe I should aim for a half-iron man for my first one?

aim below a half ironman. start with smaller triathlons, and work your way up.

we're doing one in october.

looks neat, but it's pretty full up, I'll keep an eye out for next years though, thanks

I should probably get new running shoes. mine are worn out so badly that I get burning pain in my feet/calves.

Start with a sprint or Olympic length before you plan for a 140.6 Ironman.

Or plan to run a marathon by itself before you try to do one after swimming 2.4 miles and biking 112 miles just to get to the starting line.
