yeah, I was checking out myspace a few hours ago and I noticed that this girl I know had some new "pro" photos taken by amanda czar photography.
I was like I know a girl named amanda czar from high school, I was a senior and she was a slutty sophmore.
aparently now she's fat from drinking too much beer and her friends are all alkies so she thinks she's a photographer now
dslr's are becoming p&s...
I get the only logical next step is digital medium format.
alot of great photographers who do great work with 20ds and 30ds are moving up to higher end cameras. I'm sure it's not because the 20/30d is a horrible camera.. trying to seperate themselves from the masses alittle bit might be a small part of the reasoning though.
anyone who would buy more expensive gear because they do not want appear as a consumer is proving to be just that... a consumer in the worst way.
They not a photographers, they are elitist snobographers.
I buy better gear because I want crisper sharper overall better photos with the leas aberrations as possible.
Or need the option range or ability of the higher priced gear.
Id be more than happy if I could get the same results from a $100 lens as I could with a $2000 lens.
My buddy dave has been shooting with a 20d for more than 4 years and has become a desired photographer to work with for many young women.
He recently just switched to a 1dmk2, reason is partially because of what I said previously. He says he loves the 20d but he thinks it's time he upgraded because everyone and their grandmother now has a 20d and he wanted to try something new.
Can you tell the difference in any of the photos? Which were taken with 20d and which were taken with 1d?
i certainly know which faces needed more airbrushing
Good for your buddy Dave, ya douche
i use a light tight box with glass at one end
Yeah with DSLR prices coming down...
The other day I saw a fucking LITTLE KID using a rebel XTI
It's getting bad but to be fair, most of these people (even some with 20D's and shit) don't even know what photoshop is, and their net results are still going to be worse than a good photographer could get with a 5 year old canon A-series.
the best photographes I know can barely use photoshop
I see a lot of younger people with DSLR however half of them have no idea how to use them.
Plus they don't have a clue how to post-process.
post process is an overrated skill
I take the time to teach those "noobs" how to shoot
its not really that there are more, its that you are now a lot more sensitive to seeing who's shooting
Holy shit, is that the chick from that 'skat sharing in brazil' video !?
because girls will take their clothes off in front of a professional looking camera
meh, it about what your pictures look like, not what gear you are using
it's when people act like a better camera will make their pictures not suck that I get annoyed
cue joe rogan - photographer on youtube.
Its the only reason why I got into it in the first place.
I've seen that vid...
you've come far... misa campo in such little time
