Has any one else heard about this??
t- mobile got it
nope not me
you mean the walky talky thing?
I know Samsung has a phone coming out that has that.
Nokia is not a provider, so if Nokia gets 2way it will be Nextel, not "like Nextel". Or any other providers that get it.
T-Mobile offers the direct connect feature, but as far as I know it's only available in Motorola phones. I believe they own the patent?
the patent ran out, that's why other companies can do the walkie talkie thing now.
soon every provider is going to have it, but only Nextel has it fully operational, verizon does but with a 5-10 second delay, and now sprint ans a samsung phone w/ the feature.. tmobile doesnt have it yet, and to date samsung is the only other phone w/ the technology but the nice thing about it is that it has a camera as well all built in.. nextel wont have that till 2004.
No other providers besides Verizon and NEXTEL have it. Verizon's delay is actaully shorter than NEXTEL's.
good, then Nextel's prices will finally start to drop. I have Nextel right now and the prices is the only thing i hate about Nextel
Sprint's Sanyo 5500 is nice. Flip, push-to-talk (Sprint calls it ReadyLink), and a video recorder.
