The reason why I asked about the HPV Vaccine in http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=4357871 is because my friend's girlfriend has been diagnosed with HPV and has abnormal cells in her cervix. They have been dating for 20+ months now and before they started dating they were both tested for STDs and told they were clean. While they were dating the Girlfriend was getting regular pap smears, std tests, and had the HPV vaccine 2 years ago. Up until now they were all clean. Recently her test came back positive for HPV and abnormal cells in her cervix. So that leads my friend to believe she is cheating, because according to the doctor and internet, HPV is passed to you by your mother during birth or through intercourse with an infected partner. Him and I have both found websites that claim you can get HPV other ways, IE someone touches thier genetals, shakes your hands, and then you touch yourself soon after. Which doesn't sound likely it could spread that way... then you would think more people would have HPV. So anyways, what do you all think? Could it be possible she has had HPV before they started dating, but it did not show up on her pap smear until now? or is she cheating but insanely good at not showing any signs?
