yep. it wasnt worth the inflated prices though.
where'd you find 750? The lowest I found was about $850
or are you not talking about the nikkor for nikon?
17-55 > 18-200
I've bought 3 18-200's, and never had to wait more than 2 weeks for one, and never had to pay more than 750
You can get a new one for that price and cheaper, if you're going to buy a used one for 750 you're getting ripped off.
and yes 17-55 is obviously way better but the 18-200 is great for an all around lens to take with you on vacation. If you're looking for high image quality get the 17-55, if you're looking for a useful all around lens get teh 18-200.
Simple.... Best Buy stocks them. They ask 899.99 for them though. Go in and have them price match Ritz (749.99) and get yourself a 18-200 same day.
Only bummer is that you pay tax.
is the tamron 17-50's IQ better than the 18-200?
I can get it for 750 w/ no tax but I dunno if I want sub par IQ.
Ideally id love to have both, the 18-200 is just so damn convenient its not even funny
it is considerably better and its a more "professional lens"
you will be using those two lenses for diferent reasons, Im sure once you get used to constant 2.8 you will see how real nice it is to have
I have never used a tammy on a nikon system before
