The high-capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery is a replacement for Canon BP-511 and BP-511A battery. It features lithium technology, which ensures maximum battery life and maximum power. It also features no memory effect that lets you recharge partially drained batteries without reducing performance.
I was thinking that for all the people that don't have a pair of 580's and/or 550's they can use their other non wireless flashes with that piece.
I don't know anything about that thing though so
And the battery seems like it's pretty sweet, no memory effect... same as normal canon battery but has a larger capacity (1500 milliamp hours vs 1390 mAh).... costs cheaper.... ($29 vs $49)
It's like a win win situation. There has to be some kinda catch.
I have used the Wein HS, they are incredibly sensitive, they even work outside in daylight if it can 'see' the flash. If you have any EOS flash then you will want the digital version of the wein.
You're better off with these.
such a good deal
a warning about the batteries...they don't last long. maybe 4-6 months n' then they start dying after like 20 shots. well, at least in my experience.
I've had mine for over a year, no issues.
Looks like a deal but the price alone throws up a caution flag for me.
ah, maybe mine just hate me. i've had two...both did the same thing. my Canon batteries are still kickin' it like the day i bought them tho.
