So, my gun store has Mosin Nagants for sale. I've always wanted one (and by always, I mean ever since I saw on in Metal Gear 3) Buuuuut, I was under the impression that ammo is limited for them. So I sort of set my sights on the Remington 700 I think it's important for any shooting enthusiast to be comfortable (if not well versed) in the art of long rage shooting. I also think bolt action rifles are neat! As such, I will be getting one of the aforementioned rifles. which ones would you get, and why? M. Nagant is cheaper ($200 vs $700), but ammo costs twice as much (from a quick google search. Though I'm sure I could shop around for a fair price for both) Some models of the Remington 700 come with scopes all ready on them. This is nice, because I do not know what all is involved in attaching, and then calibrating scopes so, yah. that's all I know off the top of my head. There was a Rem 700 article a few days ago that I remember reading, but iirc, it turned into a gun pron topic what about long term value? ease of cleaning/ maintenance? best for keeping around in case shtf? so yah, in your opinion- nagant, or 700?
