Well I am sorry to hear this, but you really seem to be doing the best you can with what you have, and that is very admirable.

Are you religious at all?

Yes.

This is probably the main thing I want to leave for everyone:

I got melanoma, skin cancer, from TOO LITTLE SUN, not too much. I had a mole on my upper left thigh, and a MASSIVE Vitamine D deficiency (it basically rounded down to zero when they tested me).

If you have ANY moles that change shape, change colour, or just don't look right, get them tested IMMEDIATELY. Also get a skin check once a year, it only takes 15 minutes and there are cancer clinics that'll do it free (in Australia anyway).

I was VERY lucky (in a way), wife is nurse, noticed it changed. If i'd waited a few more weeks, it would've passed my sentinal (?) nodes and i'd already be dead. They caught early BUT a year later it popped up elsewhere. It gave me an extra few years by noticing earlier.
I got 4 of them taken out earlier this year and will be doing regular checkups.

Godspeed and hopefully you are able to get that bucket list done.

How long did it take you to get that mole checked out? Had you gotten it checked out earlier would it have done any good?

Dunno if this was answered, just started reading the thread :o

Nodular melanoma, spread from a mole to my lymphatic system. Have had 5 surgeries + multiple other treatments over last year.

i'm sorry, that sucks.

i had a cancer scare, had a mole that looked black and flat like melanoma but the doctor did a biopsy and it turned out to be what's called a "blue nevus". he removed it anyway, but it was totally benign.

my roommate uses weed edibles for pain, use cookies instead, they seem to hold in more of the qualities than the brownies, and don't over do it, especially if you aren't used to it, small amounts (depending on how strong you make the butter, he makes it really strong) and it can take awhile before it starts to work, also if you are dealing with pain, it may take even longer because it will work on your pain first before giving you your high

this weekend I think I'm going to try making him butter cream mints using cannabutter

Thanks, have noted this down to re-read tomorrow when I can read properly :p (Will read this entire thread tomorrow just to rub in to myself what a stupid thing it was to do  )

read the princess bride, movie is great of course, but so much of the humor from the book couldn't be carried over into film, it's really really funny (though the very beginning about how he gets the book can be dry)

Will do. Have heard about it but never read it or watched the movie. Have added it to my list :)

 Mad respect. This thread makes me want to get checked out. This scenario goes through my head every now and then and I don't think I would be as positive as you. I always come to the decision of selling a few things and just buying a used Lamborghini or a big ass truck and just driving. No idea where I would go but that is what I come up with.
Something like what this guy did

Werd, I plan on doing similar. I can't drive manuals cos my leg is fucked (clutch leg) but i'm buying a very nice car early next year and plan on rocking up a shitload of kms on it driving to random spost around Australia, just so I can see people go "you're doing a road trip in THAT?!"

Already had lots of fun rocking up to specialists appointments on my busa in full gear :p

Sorry to hear brotha :wtc:

Thanks :) And wow, another OTceleb

Very inspirational bro! I really wish you the best of luck and hope you get better!
If you ever make it to Germany (Bavaria) and im around hit me up you can have all the German beer your weee heart desires and your liver can handle on me!

I'm half German, and spent lots of my childhood in Switzerland, I definitely plan on coming back over there ASAP (maybe Oktoberfest next year, or sooner)

My mom had melanoma from a mole on her leg. Luckily, they removed the mole and a chunk out of her calve and that removed the cancer. She was very lucky, I wish nothing but the best to you dude, you've got a great attitude.

Best of luck to her mate :)

(pics of mum?)

Thread is making me want to go get the mole on my shoulder that always gets burnt checked out/removed.

DO IT. now. no seriously, right now. i'll wait.........

Sold it. That was my baby :( That and my original jap-import '99 copper/silver busa. Giving them up was dead set how I imagine giving up a kid would be. I was teary. I still get upset thinking about it :wtc:

Replacing them with a new Lexus early next year though, it'll do. (nothing exciting, CT200h for road trips).

Saturday mang, not waiting 6 hours in the ER for that. I'll make an appointment with my doc on Monday. Or I could just lop it off myself, put it in a ziplock bag and leave it in the mailbox of the medical lab in town with a note asking them to test it and my phone number

Just got back from the funeral for one of my oldest friends who had a type of thyroid cancer. He fought tooth and nail for a year but also had a great outlook on life like you. I never got the chance to tell him, so I'll tell you. You sir are an absolute badass.

Thanks, that means a lot. I'm sorry for your friend :wtc: I'll have a drink for him tomorrow (seriously).

I've lost lots of friends over the last few years (various things, accidents etc), if you wanna chat, PM me :)
