This shit is getting pretty fucking annoying.
Get a .22.
I've been shooting from the same brick for 3 weeks now.
Buy in bulk or reload.
I have a 10/22 that's bone stock. I guess it's time mod it up and make that my main shooter until this ridiculousness subsides.
I need to buy a reloading press too. I have a tumbler, media, separator, and some casings, but I need to buy all the expensive shit now.
Order ammo online?
I'm sort of in this crew as well. I only really shoot when I go down to the hunting property which maybe 1-2 times per month. I guess it boils down to the cost of ammo (and the fact that I'm unemployed) and that I don't really prefer to shoot indoors
I went through almost 400 rounds with my 10/22 on Saturday... shit's mad fun yo
Oh shit, I never thought about ordering something over the internet before!
online prices blow
bulk prices blow
it does fucking suck man
i feel your pain
I bought a new AR a few weeks ago and I've only put 40 rounds through it
Fuck off, didn't you get a bunch of free 5.56 brass from your plant's security team?
I got probably 1000 cases, a couple hundred of which are black oxidized.
I have to buy a whole reloader setup still, as I mentioned prior.
We had to resort to getting a few cases of 9mm and 38 SPL at the gunshow this weekend.
I knew better than to waste my time trying to find deals at Jamil.
I hear there were some good deals to be had on ammo - but that's it.
I'm not holding my breath that ammo prices are going to come back down to realistic levels any time soon, if ever. Fucking sucks, I'm getting tired of only shooting .22 and 7.62x54R every time I go out.
Even 7.62x54r is expensive now.
I don't think that any of the guys that say "buy it online or start reloading" do either.
Online prices fucking suck and finding reloading stuff is only slightly easier as of late than finding bullets.
If someone wants to do the grunt work and show me where I can get bulk small pistol primers, 115 or 124gr 9mm in cheap bulk, I would appreciate it.
I'm willing to bet that "good deal" is sort of relative at this point.
AFAIK, having anything even in stock to offer could equal a "good deal."
I haven't been doing much either. I haven't shot any 7.62x39 in a while now because of the replacement cost, I'm hanging onto the 2,400 rounds I have.
When it do go it's mostly .22 and some 9mm, nothing else.
Market Garden found that buying powder and primers locally made the most sense for him because he doesn't have to pay the hazmat charge when shipping.
