The only place populated densely enough to even compare to real cities has a population of around 200 people, and is a trailer park.

Houston, as a land mass, is larger than entire counties in places that are actually populated.

It's not a city. It's a really spread out "suburb" without any urban area to really make it a suburb.

lmao

You're referring to the entire Houston metro area. The city of Houston is part of that metro area. Just like the San Jose metro area, yes, it is huge, but the "metro area" contains multiple cities: San Jose, Campbell, Santa Clara, Milpitas, etc. That doesn't mean that San Jose itself isn't a city.

And Houston most definitely contains an urban area. Shit's hella urban, just go downtown.

really seems to escape interpretation.

Miami (/maɪˈæmi/; Spanish pronunciation: [maiˈami]7) is a city located on the Atlantic coast in southeastern Florida and the county seat of Miami-Dade County. The 44th-most populated city proper in the United States, with a population of 417,650, it is the principal, central, and most populous city of the Miami metropolitan area, and the most populous metropolis in the Southeastern United States after Washington, D.C.89 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the United States, with a population of around 5.5 million.1011
Houston ( i/ˈhjuːstən/ HYOO-stən) is the most populous city in Texas and the fourth most populous city in the United States. With a census-estimated 2014 population of 2.239 million people,5 within a land area of 599.6 square miles (1,553 km2),6 it also is the largest city in the Southern United States,7 as well as the seat of Harris County. It is the principal city of Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land, which is the fifth most populated metropolitan area in the United States.
