Jeremy Dewitte - Serial Police Impersonator in Central FL

So this dude has been running this "funeral escort" company in Central FL for like 10 years. He has a bunch of motorcycles and cars decked out in orange/purple lights, sirens, etc. He wears a full duty belt with a pepper ball gun (he's a convicted felon) and dresses exactly like LAPD, badge and everything. He's straight up impersonating police and has no clue what he's doing is wrong.

He wears a body camera and has filmed literally all of his crimes. I'll save you the multiple hours when you say "how has this idiot not been arrested" - he has, he's been charged with something like 15+ counts of impersonating, felony wiretapping, among other shit. All this footage comes from freedom of information/FL sunshine requests for his seized body cam footage and the footage of the officers/deputies that have arrested or otherwise interacted with him.

So the cops arrest this dude. then he realizes he has everyone wear body cams. so he calls from the jail phone to one of his guys telling him to go reset all the body cameras, aka destroy the evidence.



the cops get all this footage and have been stacking so many cases against the guy the judges are getting confused which case they have.
