A bit unpressed by the sharpness @ f/2, but by f/2.5-2.8 I'm pretty pleased with it. Then again, I'm really picky and I'm comparing it to my 105 VR and 14-24, which are unbelievably sharp!

I still wouldn't hesitate to shoot it wide open for anything that I'd print at 8x10 or less. I could do some sharpening in PP too, which would probably be great.

Its a nice, relatively lightweight lens, and it focuses much faster than my 50 1.4 af-d or 85 1.8 af-d, so I'm pretty impressed with that. I'm excited about using it for some sports. The bokeh is :yum: - it has great color and really makes your subject POP! I haven't had much time to play around with the DC yet, but I will hopefully get to play with it some in the coming days. :bigok:

I can honestly say I haven't seen any examples of Nikons version of this lens until you got it. I think I need to see more examples.... get to it. :big grin:

I like the composition and subject smile. Only thing I personally like to see more of is contrast and more vibrant colors.
