Nice little car. Not impressive at all today and not really that exciting even back when I had it but top down driving is fun

Yeah...it's slow af around town. Almost undriveable in the summer with the a/c on.

I'm looking at an SoS supercharger but that's not gonna really help out around town either.

Miata's are Miatas because there were so goddamn many of them so you could get one cheap. It was unique because they weighed like 2200 pounds.

S2000 is comparable to a Mazdaspeed Miata.

S2k's run insanely well on tight California tracks also. Miata's need some work to get it track ready.

The SoS stage 1 kit is appealing because there's no cutting required and I can do it in my garage.

I bought mine with Conti DWS all seasons from the original owner (75yr old guy) and he daily drove it, year round. Including the few times it snowed in NC.

I sent him an email a year ago with updated pics with it cleaned up and he was still smitten lol

Ballade has a horrid reputation from everything I've read about them... their customer service is terrible and a quick search on their hardtop shows more complaints than praise.

I am not defending them but they do get lots of hate just from people piling on. The reddit thread you saw on your quick Google search isn't even for the aluminum one.
