Wat do u think?
didnt he do the shot for esquire with bill clinton?
yep, its in his portfolio
His style is really homogenized, which I guess is good because it makes you a brand (like Dave Hill ), but they're not really creative. It's like the extreme version of the style I first saw done in the strobist group, using really strong and deliberate wall light to halo the subject without actually lighting them from behind.
They're really good photos but kind of boring, will add him to my links though.
strobist interviewed him a while back.
i feel like a lot of photogs get less creative as they establish a solid base. good for him though. i wish it were me.
One of his shots was the cover of Time Mag a month ago.
his work is good and consistent
Damn this guy is known
The photography part of his job is the easy part.
The human interaction part is something I can probably never do.
damn. just damn.
a friend of mine works for him
for reals. platon went to central st. martins (an art school in london), my friend went there as well, not at the same time. my friend hooked up with his studio as an intern when he moved to nyc a few years ago. now he works on special projects with him. he said he's a really cool guy, super busy though.
