3rd time playing through and the game still amazes me
probley because your hacking
sacred 2 is better
i just got oblivion yesterday. fucking stole some shit right when i started the game and accidentally hit resist arrest. the guards chased me across the map before i could get away
i couldn't even get through the whole game. i got bored once i was in charge of all the guilds.
gfx in Oblivion are better, graphics effects are better in sacred 2
they each really have their own unique characteristics
if I had to make a decision, I'd say Oblivion is better but Sacred 2 is pretty close
still need to finish that one.
what that game needs is an expansion pack that adds a little more LIFE to the game. Trolling through the same dungeons over and over again and you just stop and thing WTF is the point.
The only fun parts are trying to steal from people
theres a better variety of enemies , bosses and skills in sacred 2 which makes it better
Assassin's guild or whatever its called is awesome
you can stop them from attacking you know... and i do not mean by killing them.
depends , the thing that oblivion has over sacred 2 is the first person view point and being able to attack / do whatever you want. Sacred 2 is in 3rd person. Other than that the world is just as big and more varied and theres tons to do so you probably will like it.
so is it a game to rent?
i figured there must be a way but i couldnt find it when i was playing so i just said fuck it and ran. managed to get away by diving in a lake and almost drowning to death.
it will take atleast 30 - 40 hours just to finish the main quest line. theres also about 500 sub quests and online and also you can get your character to lvl 200 with 5 difficulties. So probably worth buying.
i've spent well over 100 hours on a game without ever beating the main quest
since the GOTY edition on all systems is going for about $20-$30 i say it is a game to buy. I play it on PC and PS3. PS3 is fine for casual, but if you really wanna get into it and experience everything the community has to offer you will want the PC version.
I wish I could've got into it more... Graphics are great especially with the texture mod (huge download).
But I couldn't get into what they call a story. I mean, I tried...but when every oblivion gate looks pretty much exactly like every other one you've been in, just feels too repetitive. And I'm not patient enough to scour the land for herbs to get an almost useless alchemy skill up on a non-online game.
I played ~20hrs each on 3 dif characters, kept turning into a fucking vampire and couldn't complete the quest to cure them in time.
I turned into a vampire intentionally once..it was fun for a day, then it just became a fucking chore to keep feeding
100% boring game
umm... it takes 3 days for you to turn into a vampire. you can heal the disease at any chapel. after you turn how ever there is a long quest.
I actually enjoy being a vampire, more stats and its not too much of a chore to feed on a sleeping person once every night. I just wish the vampire function worked similar to Bloodlines. feed on anyone asleep or awake just out of sight.
Oblivion ftw. I just got back into it too.
and I could argue that there's a solid storyline in Oblivion, which makes it better. to each their own
have you played diablo II?
