lol, paying for brass. i go to the range every week now to pick up whatever rambo decides to leave behind. im up to 2000+ casings for free 
got 80 30-06 tuesday as well as 520 .223
i still dont get how you could just leave all that brass either laying on the ground or in a bucket!

How bad is it to fire this stuff? I am about to go crazy.That's insane. I could see the range saying that if you leave brass behind it becomes theirs, but to say that you can't pick up your own brass is absurd.Every range around here has rules against picking up the brass.

Its great. Really cheap, can be very accurate and doesn't kick much. Get you some.

haha my range is basically a joke. its a clubhouse on a few acre piece of property at the end of a residential road. we have a club house, the range, which is just a covered firing area, a shed, a huge mound of dirt as the backstop. 25yard, 50yard, and 100yard firing positions. but you can only fit one person at a time on the 50/100yard.
i joined there like 6 or 7 months ago, and i showed up with my buddy to shoot and there were NO target holders..so we went to home depot and built a double wide for the two of us to shoot...its still there, everyone is too lazy to make any more.
we have rules, but they are really only the important safety ones.
courtesy rules are there but not enforced, pick up your brass, throw your trash away, empty the trash if its over flowing. no rules on brass tho. its ghetto but fun

i love doing business with them
and picking up range brass is dangerous, especially if you get someone else's reloads, and lets say they have major case stretching or 5x fired

Did you get the crimped stuff? There's some Rem brass that doesn't designate crimped, is that significantly easier to deal with? I don't really want to pay $105 for the processed stuff if I can get brass that doesn't require special attention...
Sorry, n00b when it comes to mil ammo reloading.
edit- nevermind, the Brassman didn't have any of that stuff available. I ended up ordering the 1000 rounds of processed brass w/ 1000 x 55 gr FMJ package deal for $175 shipped. The brass alone isn't spectacular price at $105 elsewhere on the site but with the projectiles that's a pretty smokin deal.

lol, I see... well I'm stuck in old school land with the single stage RCBS from like the 70's. But all my equipment was free so I can't complain. All it takes is time and at the moment I have more of that than I do $$ to donate to shooting. Mainly because I've spent all my money on actual guns

lol, I didn't recognize you for a minute with the new AV. Did you finally catch that guy or something?
My dad said he has bought stuff from GIbrass before and it wasn't great condition. I didn't see it so I can't comment but he mentinoed that there was a larger % than he expected that were bent up or unuseable.
3 days is awesome in the current climate! If I get it that quick I might have to hurry up and get some dies!

Doesn't Federal have the primer pinned into the brass too?
Maybe I'm thinking of another brand (Lake City?) that requires reaming and a great deal of work...
