Missed the landing but conceptually a great idea. Still it was decent small budget film. I think he should stick to original ideas rather than adaptation.

Never thought he lost his form but it's definitely a return to his comfort zone.

I liked the Northman, but couldn't help being a little disappointed by it after his first two offerings were so pure. Valhalla Rising it was not.

I'm still greatly anticipating what he comes up with for Nosferatu though.

oh man i absolutely did not vibe with that one he did with robert pattinson

like at all

also found a dangerous method to be surprisingly bland and dry considering the subject material. bergman would have handled that way more incisively imo

My read is the budget was too big so they made him hand hold the audience a bit which he nor the actors seemed into

Just my initial impression

Yeah, I definitely buy this.

Not sure if it would help but I wonder if there's a potential for an alternate edit.

This I would like to see. Stuff that treats the audience like dummies really grates on me more than anything and there were a few of those moments that kinda ruined it for me. Still pretty cool but not up to the lighthouse standards

for someone like myself who has no prior shakespeare knowledge, my friend said it best:

don't try to dissect every word or figure out what it all means, just let it wash over you

good advice imo
