I posted this on another forum I visit:
Just read the last paragraph.
This was seriously Cage's best action movie he's ever made.
I pretty much agree with everything you said.
That "BRING ON THE KRYPTONIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTEEEEE" like was so fucking awesome.
And then the scene right after that with Hit-Girl fucking everyone up with the strobe light.
Although one thing I would've preferred......
I preferred Frank's demise in the comic book with Kick Ass shooting him in the dick and balls, and then Hit Girl killing him with a butcher knife to the head.
Also, Big Daddy's original origin.
Fuck yeah, Hit Girl.
I've been trying to find that on youtube, but I can't. I can't believe that hasn't caught on.
Seriously some epic shit there. Cage is on fire giving his daughter instruction on how to kill a bunch of mofos screaming in pain but creating this beautiful epic death.
I'm seriously going to go watch this again.
awww no brains being blown out
BRING ON THE KRYPTONIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITEE > RELEASE THE KRAKENNNNNNNN
some one upload last issue to WS please
TAKE COVER CHIIIIIIILLLLLLLDDDDDD
On the way.
Again I have to bow down.
I am Kick-Ass! I'm also not gay.
Finally saw it, agreed on all points. Though funny enough the biggest piece of conversation after the movie me and my friends had was what would've happened if some loser like Dave told someone he was gay because he likes them and then says "oops, no i'm not, i just lied to get close to you".
So yeah, i'm fully on the side of the comic book version is the more realistic and better one.
I liked the Craig Ferguson cameo.
I liked the slowmo-strobe-hitgirl-murdering-punks-while-big-daddy-burning scene. that was so
I liked it when it stayed true to the story, but Nic Cage's acting was just horrible but he was great as Big Daddy. But shit like that jet pack and whatnot make me go
Just got back from it.
That was easily my favorite scene.
What a great fucking movie. Nicholas Cage was the Bomb. He was perfect for this movie.
And Hit Girl. Dude. Yeah. When Red Mist shot her I was sitting there thinking, 'Oh hell. 13 year old girl is gonna fuck some people UP.'.
Great movie. Two thumbs up.
I never got around to reading the comic. I'll take it there was no jet pack in the comic.
I didn't really care for the jet pack either, but what is one thing like that in an otherwise spectacular movie?
There were enough changes to ruin it for me, as a fan of the comic. I'm not saying it scarred me for life, but I wouldn't mind seeing a different cut of the movie on the blueray.
And I really thought Nic Cage pulled a total Mannequin Skywalker Hayden Christiansen horrible acting thing. Who gives a fuck though- it got me off my computer for a couple hours and some time with the wife, not to mention some swex0rz later on
Cage was horrible as usual but I still liked the movie quite a bit. The changes didn't bother me much. They worked pretty well, mostly.
That wooden acting was on purpose. It was a nod/rip to the Batman series and Adam West's speech cadence when he was in the suit.
He spoke the same in an out of the suit and it sounds less like an homage than crappy acting
