Dude is retarded jacked.
Thank you Maine for posting good threads today instead of the other nonsense from others as of late!
yeah very BO$$, sick pull
this, not so much..
really shows you have to train your shoulders to have strong shoulders and do the movements to be good at them
Shit I didnt even view that vid, Im wondering how much he could actually throw up on his shoulders
obviously not much, 200x8 is like normal gym stuff by 200 and below guys i see at my commercial gym that have been working out for a couple years.. simply put benching doesnt give you strong shoulders, shoulder pressing does..
I wonder how much harder, if any at all, using a fat bar made that.
unless you're cleaning the bar then not much at all really. my strict press with a axle vs a regular bar was not much different.
ok...I've never really used a fatbar so I didn't know...
and that's just a warmup for konstantinovs
with krocs pressing strength in general he'll catch up on OHP quick but it just goes to show you actually gotta do the movement to get good at it. benching may involve front delts but it doesnt mean youll have a good OHP. i think a big OHP takes a long, long time to develop
Depends on the person. I don't do much heavy work for my OHP and it's pretty good. Most OHP stuff I do (95%) is dumbbell and high rep, my bench work "carries" the strength for me. Plus, who knows what he did before that or how much the fat bar changes the lift for him.
kroc is just straight up bad ass. Son told me that he only does 1-2 calf exercises per week yet they look like they're straight off the legs of a fat guy. Obviously his strength is paramount over the physique but still he's impressive in just about every way.
the force on the body in a standing position is incomperable to a bench press in almost every way, for sure. OHP is a whole different animal, and unless somebody did it all the time, I wouldn't expect them to be amazing at it.
Still, I like the fat bar just for the sake of being different.
yes but you still actually do OHP. if you read krocs log, ever since hes been at EFS i have not seen a single OHP of any kind until recently, not one.
you won't be good at something without doing it at some point or another.. IMO anyway. when i was benching 400ish and i first did OHP having never done it, 135 strict was a nightmare for me.. i was embarrassed as hell LOL.
well you gotta admit, any ohp is hard to do
Its like everything else, if you want to be good at it you have to train it.
yeah... i was really surprised when i saw this video
its my strongest lift. today i hit 245x9 strict standing military w/ no leg drive and no belt.. and i can barely bench over 405, LOL
sick lift chris
damn. i wanna be able to rep 135 bad. right now i can get it for 3. and DB press the 55's for 5
Nice, I hit 225 strict on a log over summer, I can strict press more on a long than I barbell.
just keep with it, I could hardly press 95 pounds when I started, but 5x5 got me going in the right direction.
