Does anyone know where to get dvds that are larger than 4.7gb?
I wish I did.
what would you use to burn them? current home DVD burner's can't do the 9.4GB DVD's because of the layering technology they use.
I thought DVD+R could do it. Even if they can't burn in layers could you still use them just for larger storage, I just want to know where to find it and how much they cost.
I had not heard of this before???
I have a +R burner so if this is possible that would be cool.
well then what is the difference between dvd-r and dvd+r?
dvd-r and dvd+r both support around 4.4 gigabytes after formatting. They cannot support more, and dual layer writeable dvd discs are not out yet. The best you are going to get is ~4.4 gigabytes, sorry.
thanks, but what is the difference between dvd-r and dvd+r?
dvd-r uses dvd-r disks
dvd+r uses dvd+r disks
DVD+R is supposed to be compatible with about 1% more DVD players than DVD-R.
Other than that?
