5 Series Wagon
The 6 Series looks like a Pontiac coupe.
IMO the only one that looks 'great' is that hatchback coupe. The flame surfacing crap looks ok on small cars (Z4), but on big cars its just nasty.
what is flame surfacing?
It's BMW's wavy "energetic" line scheme on the bodies.
I'm not sure which have been photoshopped, but the 3 series is really bland and generic looking. Aside from the M Series cars (which always look great imo), I've been pretty put off by bmw's recent designs. I really don't like the front grille turning into a big pig snout type nostril opening. The 1-series might be interesting. I guess I just like the older models more since I grew up around them.
I would tend to agree with you. Although I have grown to like most of the new designs over time, none of them give me that love-at-first-sight feeling I had when I first saw an e46 coupe. I ordered my first e46 after seeing it on tv and looking at the brochure. If I am to buy one of these new designs I am definately going to have to see it in person and drive it and then probably still think about before I give my final decision.
