Wednesday: 2 hour MT class: I started out 30 min prior with a light chest routine on weights. 2 work outs and warmed up on the bag for 15 minutes. Talked to Eric and Nico about new combo patterns before class: 1:jab to face, cross to mid section, hook to body/back 2. cross to body, hook to head 3 follow up with distancing head kick started class with Burpies 5 min Partnered with Asian guy from Canada kick boxing: Pink Tiger or some gay name. began drills with light sparring: soon escalated to 80-90% roughhousing Used my distance thwart his offense. his stance was wide so I could nail is front leg with sweeping kick/trip caughthim many times with jab/cross kick to the point where i stopped using it. went to neck wrestling: same partner allowed him to go half and half, my arm in, his arm in. destroyed him -- need to work on inside/outside movement, allowing one hand in and one hand out control. bag work -- talked to 9mm about making my right hook better (feels weak). 9mm thinks i should keep my elbow WAY up because it sags when i get tired. worked knees from straight up to knees to outside. did MT pads: just need to keep guard up, relax and keep my elbow up on hooks. TIRED -- no cardio.
