Parodies are covered but it is pretty shitty that they can use someones likeness as the basis of a book and make money from it without giving dick to them.
Here's the thing then, they should go after the publishing company. It isn't like heavyink has anything to do with that. All they do is take solicits from the various publishers and put the books up for sale.
I'd be wary of a law firm that doesn't see that. Unless they sent the notice just to cover all their bases.
They went after the "big" money, no surprise there.
