Serious topic I'm bringing up here. We're obviously going to be in some sort of an oil crisis within the next two decades. Sources say that our oil might run out in 50 years (+/- 10). What happens to our military? Those who have deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan know how much damn oil we use over there. EVERYTHING is run on fuel. Jets, Vehicles, Generators, etc. I doubt we'll be able to pull off massive nation building projects like Iraq, or 'defensive invasions' of any kind. Are we going to resort to missile defense tactics only in the future? How would this effect foreign policy? Would countries be more ballsy, or more shy due to nuclear tidiness? I'm asking this here because for us who serve know how dependent we are.
