this shall go nicely with my vignette
also it seems to have taken a page out of Capture One's importing dialog.
watching teh videos. the user interface has dramatically improved. Being able to import direct into specific folders, and create a new subfolder without leaving LR
Thanks for the heads up.
Will probably wait a while to try it though. 2.5 is doing fine. If I were to switch at all, I'd integrate Photo Mechanic into my workflow.
One of the most elegant ways to present your images is in a slideshow accompanied by music. But until now, you could only share that slideshow with music when playing it directly from within the Lightroom application. But with Lightroom 3 we've added the ability to export high quality movie files that include your detailed layout and the music track you've selected. By utilizing the popular H.264 movie format you can share these movies on many popular video sharing sites or optimize it for mobile media!
Where are you watching these vids?
Download Lightroom 3 for Windows (ZIP, 120.0 MB)
Download Lightroom 3 for Macintosh (ZIP, 68.1 MB)
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck yeah. been waiting on this one!!
LOL AT BLOATWARE
Geez. Thats pretty ridiculous. I wonder why its twice the size..
Haha I wonder. Im pretty much 100% Apple stupid.
To run the beta or not to run the beta, that is the question.
Can you open up your current LR catalog in it? I remember it took a while for LR2 beta to convert mine. I was the whole time.
not yet, from the looks of it. It said it needs to update it, but updates weren't yet available.
but it runs independently, so you can try it out and as long as you have a copy of your old one somewhere, theres no worries
because just like with lightroom2, the windows version includes both the 32bit and 64bit installer so you can install the correct version for your windows install.
also, don't render standard or full size previews for old work. just do minimal then standard or 1:1 for new shit or when you work on a project.
I can do that in 2.4. Unless i am misunderstanding.
yeah, i'll pass for now. LR manages close to 50k images for me, so i don't think I'll be upgrading until the full version comes out.
meh, I'm sure they'll fix it in time.
Or just make sure all your changes are saved to the file, then leave that catalog alone and over night let it import them all at current location
