Does anyone here use it?
Do you need a specific burner?
Yes. Its awesome but media is assload expensive. Takes like 15-20 minutes for a nice effect.
you need a lightscribe burner to do the lightscribe part...
there needs to be a laser on the top of the disc to etch the image in...
i'm pretty sure i remember seeing a video of someone flipping the disc over.
however you do need a lightscribe burner + lightscribe expensive media
not worth it, a sharpie works fine for me
use the same laser.
id rather just use a sharpie
i have used it... not worth it. Takes FOREVER to burn an image to the disk and its gold and black... Also only uses expensive media.
AND if you decide to get it, don't get it from Lacie. They have the buggiest software which they refuse to update. This means you will be throwing away many discs till one is randomly able to burn completely without crashing (You can't pick up where you left off)
i was thinking the right thing, wrong way of printing...
Sweet, never knew I could use my lightscribe drive on my Mac
