Yes as a point of sale?
very nifty, you can bolt them under the desk.
will you need a parallel/serial port for a cashbox? or are you doing some kind of e-payment?
what do they cost?
Genius. I'll take 70 for Point of Sale.
Looks cool, if you can install your own software on it, then it would be useful too.
Would it support an external media drive? Awesome idea though.
USB and Linux -> Yes.
I'd die for a cheaper&smaller&lighter&more efficient one of these that just does network boot (hmm I should do that). It mightn't make a bad thin client.
I wonder what it'd take to run it on batteries (mp3 player! yes, but bulky, I know). And wifi...interesting. Could make an ok server too.
I want one. It would be so cool to play with. Let us know what they say about prices, if you enquire.
If it could just boot from other media, like USB flash drives (I believe it's possible, for Linux anyhow) - legend. Diskless is neat too I think, and having such a functional OS on ROM could always be handy.
Massive cool, mon
Some people on Gizmodo are saying that it will ship at 280 Euros (= $360)
