Insurrection was more in line with what you'd expect with a TNG episode, minus some of the dumb action, and thus, more true to form. You could argue it's just a rehash of the indigenous peoples episode.

Nemesis is hot garbage with literally zero redeeming qualities.

I dunno, it still has one of the best ship battles at the end. We'll never get anything like that these days, all we get his copy/pasted ships x100.

It's only purpose is to be viewed by any YouTuber that has reviewed it and can get the entertainment value from that.

Granted, I DID give Discovery 3 seasons before I finally couldn't take it anymore as TYPICALLY most sci-fi takes 3 seasons before they find their stride and get GOOD.

been seeing some TikTok videos of interviews, and they asked Dorn the differences between TNG and DS9 on set and he said "TNG we were laughing al the time. DS9 was, not that way. it was quiet and serious". Others allude to difficulty working with Avery Brooks. Even Armin said they didn't joke, and between legit trying to make the best thing they could make and tip toeing around Avery it was often somber. He'd call the other ferengi actors to his house Saturday and Sunday before filming a ferengi centric episode and they'd work on it themselves all weekend to prep for the shoot. The DS9 crew seemed to work the hardest to never get a movie

I don't mind Season 1 since it has some weird episodes and more of a Twilight Zone vibe but I can see TikTok addicts screeching about it if it's their first TNG experience. It's probably best to start people on Season 3 then if they really like it they can go back to S1 and 2

i love roddenberry, but the dude was a far better idea generator than actual storyteller ... he also didnt want Patrick Stewart to play Picard, which in and of itself calls into question his ability to recognize good ideas/talent.
