Fucking season 2. Only two or three episodes took place in space. It was fucking awful. At least with season three we get to see Starfleet in action again. It feels like a bottle episode every time. Imo, the bottle episodes were the best ones.

tbh it kind of feels like they hit reset on this whole thing going into season 3, this first episode so far feels as much like it is reintroducing all the relevant characters as it is doing anything to progress the story.

edit: like the only thing so far that makes you realize you missed something is Picard and 7 of 9 being familiar/friendly with each other.
