Yes one of my favorite TNG episodes very underrated that never makes any "must watch" lists but I like it.I like that episode type of Next Generation where they are on the Royale.
I like their ratings, reviews, and siteSomeone here had a good guide on watch order, but I'd say skip the original series for now, and Start with The Next Generation.
Here's one I found from a simple search

The Next Generation Episode Guide
Below is a rated list of every episode of The Next Generation, letting you know which episodes we think are worth checking out if you are new to Star Trek. **BUT** if you’d like to do a quick…www.letswatchstartrek.com
Yeah I always skip the first chapter and start with the second one when I read a book.but I'd say skip the original series for now, and Start with The Next Generation.
I can't even watch them. IMO, TOS movies > TV.Yeah I always skip the first chapter and start with the second one when I read a book.![]()
did you.....try hitting it with your purse?Hell yeah, get to watch TNG while I'm waiting to see why my dashboard looks like Christmas
Hell yeah, that's why I'm at Firestonedid you.....try hitting it with your purse?
All true, but TOS is the foundation of the whole series. I just don't get how you can care about all the rest without knowing kirk and spock and mccoy. Yeah there were some bad episodes, but damn, at least watch a top 10 or something.I can't even watch them. IMO, TOS movies > TV.
TNG is the opposite
I've seen them all before, used to watch every night when I was a kid at 11.All true, but TOS is the foundation of the whole series. I just don't get how you can care about all the rest without knowing kirk and spock and mccoy. Yeah there were some bad episodes, but damn, at least watch a top 10 or something.
i became a fan via TNG and only watched (most of) TOS and the TOS era movies after-the-fact.All true, but TOS is the foundation of the whole series. I just don't get how you can care about all the rest without knowing kirk and spock and mccoy. Yeah there were some bad episodes, but damn, at least watch a top 10 or something.
I feel as if the TOS crew really shined in the films. The TG series was okay but it feels more like TV Land nick at night kind of "classic" black and white Leave it to Beaver Lost in Space Gilligan's Island kind of thing.i became a fan via TNG and only watched (most of) TOS and the TOS era movies after-the-fact.To me Picard and crew are the soul of Star Trek, Kirk and crew feel more like the prototype.

Picard and crew don't even exist if millions of angry TOS fans aren't burying the studio in letters demanding they bring it back, for 10 years.i became a fan via TNG and only watched (most of) TOS and the TOS era movies after-the-fact.To me Picard and crew are the soul of Star Trek, Kirk and crew feel more like the prototype.

You sound like me now, like 3 posts laterFirst 2 seasons are garbage and only have member berries so if you haven't even seen the TNG show they won't make sense
So you have seen some TNG thenI'm on ep 4 and enjoying it![]()
Prob a dozen episodes a dozen years agoSo you have seen some TNG then
One can glean enough from their relationships/bonds from just watching them grow in the movies. They played the same characters in the movies. I LOVED them all by Star Trek 4, really 3.All true, but TOS is the foundation of the whole series. I just don't get how you can care about all the rest without knowing kirk and spock and mccoy. Yeah there were some bad episodes, but damn, at least watch a top 10 or something.
