All true, but TOS is the foundation of the whole series. I just don't get how you can care about all the rest without knowing kirk and spock and mccoy. Yeah there were some bad episodes, but damn, at least watch a top 10 or something.

The good ones are really good. But I think it's kind of disconnected in some ways. Space Rome, for example, would be a holodeck episode in any other ST series. Feels like a different universe imo

FInished up SNW S1. I love it.

Fuck them for killing off Hemmer. Also, the Gorn being an homage to Alien is great. Love how they get their own main "bad guy" that's not just borrowed from another show's main "bad guy". Love Captain Pike as "Space Dad." Dude literally out there telling dad jokes and grillin with an apron on. Love it. Ethan Peck does a way better Spock than Quinto ever did. The actress who plays T'Pring is hot AF and their episodes together reminds me of Data's Day. Nurse Chapel is stupid cute and helps to build upon Spock. Uhura adds new depth to the character that wasn't just eye candy like she has always been previously. Ortegas is the funny jock type, La'an feels like a more properly written and portrayed Tasha Yar was supposed to be. Dr. M'Benga is a really great character and you just feel so bad for the guy. He (and the rest of the cast) did a great job in the fantasy episode. About the only character I don't like is Sam Kirk.

Signed up for the 1-week trial on Paramount+ and got caught up on Picard, Strange New Worlds, and Discovery. Picard and SNW were really good. I found Discovery a bit too out there for me and I noticed some episodes were regurgitated TNG/Enterprise episodes. I'll still keep watching tho

And on Discovery - "we got 2 minutes to save the galaxy from total annihilation, but let's all take a few minutes to have heartfelt convos before we finish saving the galaxy"
