Yea or nay?
Completely depends on the guy, how long, and what he does with it.
99% of the time it's big "nay".
(I'm assuming you're talking about Fabio-like long hair)
By long I mean "not short". Anything from over the ears to down the back. Just soliciting opinions My hair is getting pretty damn long these days and I'm wondering what the consensus is.
Mine is kinda long
need pics for individual decision
I'd say nay, but mainly because it can look unprofessional.
Pics of what you're thinking of would help though.
Bushy wild crazy hair seems to be pretty popular with the gals.
Long Steven Seagul hair? Gay as shit usually.
depends on what you look like. you generally have to be pretty good looking to pull it off i'd say.
Only male models and male surfers look good with long hair.
I was able to pull it off well. Some people hated it on me, but I got a lot of play.
totally depends on the chicks
i used to have long hair.. not really girl type long.. it was a bit shorter than this but my hair is curly as fuck so it didnt look as retarded as that dude
i noticed that i had different "types" of women who looked at me when i had that hair.. especially the younger looking girls (18-22 yrs old about)
but i cut that shit off because it got old quick
mmmm i think about a couple of the guys i know with long hair...and theyre just gorgeous. but i think theyre good looking anyway, and the hair just adds to it. my friend's son isnt really great looking, but he has beautiful hair and it catches my eye. i think it works.
I don't want to post my pic
Completely depends on the guy and what his hair looks like.
My ex/friend has the longest most gorgeous wavy, thick hair. When he cut it he still looked great but his long hair was part of his persona and it just looked fantastic
Shouldnt the options be "Yea" or "Gay" Ok, that was lame, but I had to....
Anywhoo...I'm totally in the "nay" camp minus one exception: Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans (he's hot regardless and it was historically accurate, if you need my reasoning).
I do think pics for reference would help. I personally consider anything past the ear lobe "long" (and even thats a little long for me) but there's a lot of room between that and a buzz cut.
totally depends on the person and the type of people you want to attract. i like to grow mine out and when it starts to bother me i just shave it i've been going through this cycle for a while now.
Here's mine when I'm not too lazy to do it
I approve of your long hair
I like it best in pics 2 and 3 at that length...gotta get it trimmed soon.
I had long hair all through high school. It was like this:
4-6th grade = Zack Morris hair (Saved by the Bell)
6th-8th grade = Kurt Cobain hair
9th-12th grade = long hair, like Emppu Vuorinen (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/26/Emppu-Vuorinen-guitar1.jpg)
It was fucking awesome. I've played guitar since 4th grade so I was a metalhead and grew long hair accordingly.
Then the day before I moved into college freshman year, I cut it off. So to continue...
Freshman college - Soph college = Caesar cut (or whatever it's called)
Junior college - senior in college = a little longer caesar cut and beginning receding hairline
Current = between 1-2" long hair with more receding hairline (27 y/o)
Seriously tho, when I had long hair, I had so many chicks come up to me and tell me how much they loved it. I'm not even kidding. (keep in mind this was around 98-99 and in high school)
That's never happened with short hair, altho I knew a girl in college who told me "I wouldn't have talked to you if you still had long hair"
And girls think it's awesome when they find out I had long hair. They want to see pics. Of course I was even more of a misanthrope then than I am now so I hardly ever allowed anyone to take my pic.
A model I dated while I was in high school (no fucking clue how I got her... I must have been way more awesome than I realized) moved away before I cut my hair, and even now she tells me "I can't believe you cut your hair... I refuse to believe it!"
- long hair is awesome, but only if it's metal. And keep it washed and clean. When I got all my hair cut off the day before college, the lady cutting it said it was the healthiest hair she'd ever seen, and called over the other people cutting hair to come see it.
- it's not awesome if it's indie long hair, or poseur long hair, or a mullet
- seriously, keep it clean. greasy long hair is the opposite of awesome.
i think women respond favorably to long hair provided it is healthy
VERY good point. Even though I'm most opposed to long hair, I'd probably consider it if it was very well taken care of. I think a lot of guys grow their hair out but then dont up their hair-care routine from when they had short hair and the result is gross or at least looks unkempt and unattractive.
I've actually had to escort guy friends to the hair-care aisle in Walgreens to help them choose a hair brush because theyd honestly never bought one before and didnt even think about it before growing their hair out.
I'm laughing because it's true. This girl I know strategically left a wide-tooth comb in my bathroom. I had to ask her what it was
As long as it's not longer than mine and he takes care of it, i'm good with it
