Savage Model 12
26" target crowned bull barrel
never heard of Sweet trigger before. where do you get those from?
Which store? I was at Hoffmans from about 3:30-4:30 or so.
Candy Store ?
Nice. That barrel is long.
If the barrel were any longer, some members might complain.
Is that a long action? The gap between the scope mounting points looks huge. Is that normal for Savage?
the getting place
North Atlantic Sportsman in Monroe. He's tucked away in the corner. He does a lot with High end and regular shotguns/Rifles not so much handguns.
It is a short action. The gun is lightly used but older it is not a brand new model with the accutrigger. However I purposely took the picture on the right side so everyone would go where is the bolt?
Didn't even notice that until you pointed it out.
Fucking sneaky ass left handed people.
I'm actually right handed but left eye dominant.
Oh, so you're really fucked up. I couldn't imagine having my dominant hand and eye being opposite each other, it must be a pain in the ass to get used to.
Life goes on. I shoot handgun righty rifle left.
it's not terrible but for long guns its best to match what hand you're shooting with to your eye
Now you just need to find a takeoff 12vbss stock for it.
Yeah. Trying to find a lefty one might be an issue. Unless I go with a new one or want one that is double inletted. Any ideas on where to look for a takeoff?
BTW the barrel is still free floated even with the bipod on .
Which of those would you reccomend?
Try leaning on it...... I'd be really surprised if that stock didn't bitch slap the barrel.
Nevermind.... forgot you are a lefty. In that case.... The LVT looks A-5ish, which would probably be how I rolled. Actually.... I'd probably just say fuck a whole bunch of that noise, and either actually order a McM, or spend the $150 clams for a take-off bvss stock.
Get out and shoot and give us a review!
I could just inlet the bvss for a lefty fill the right side and refinish it right?
I need to load some ammo first Saturday was a rain out so I re organized my bench.
Maybe...... I honestly have no idea the differences between the Savages.
Prolly rate a call to the big indian, as I think that stock would net you the most for the least.
When/if you got them on the horn, ask them when/if they will ever get their shit together and offer the 110-S (Silhouette), or just the stock again.
