where is the cheapest place to buy? i prefer the new white 2.4 ghz
apple refurb store usually has some great deals
whats the deal with a refurb? i have never bought one, reliable? warranty? etc?
most refurbs are just slightly older models. like they may have just changed the chips or hard drive on the latest macbooks, so lots of the older ones end up in the refurb store.
i've never heard anything bad about a refurb. i've always found that they are brand new and don't even have fingerprints etc. same thing for refurb ipods.
i think they come in unlabeled boxes though, but still carry the factory 1 year warranty
My wife and I both have refurb macbooks, one white, one black. Never had problems from either. I've also bought two refurb ipods, no issues.
I've got a refurb mbp, and my parents have a refurb mini. The mini was brand new (or at least as far as I could tell) and the mbp was $1000 off retail for a processor that was .2GHz slower, and it also came brand new, as far as i could tell.
i used to have a refurb mini, it was great for a year then i sold it to get my macbook pro.
i'm selling my 4 month old macbook pro. it's the 2.2ghz model. it's still brand new, hoping to get around 1400 for it. pm me if you're interested.
