So I went by the DFW Gun place here in Dallas and discovered I wont' be owning my own gun this summer like I wished because I am not a resident of Texas -

However I can rent guns and try them out and take the intro to firearms class they offer and potentially I'll take the deffensive handgun class

So I'll have a summer to get trained, and pick a gun then once I get back to MS I can buy

    ohh the wait....:squint:

Go back to MS. Buy a gun. Take it back to TX. The drive would be worth it.

See if you can get a TX non-driver ID.

That's what I did while in college in AL to buy a gun there while my official residence was GA.
