Hi VAG :wavey:

I haven't posted in here since I was 18. Funny how problems change.

I am 25, male. I just broke up with my GF of ~ 1yr. We had been living together for a few months, but she moved out after the breakup.

My problem is that my sex drive has all but completely disappeared. One of the reasons I broke up w/ my girlfriend was because I wanted to "play the field." However, while I am still interested in meeting new people, going on dates, etc., I am worried that I will be unable to "perform" if the opportunity presents itself.

I am relatively healthy. I try to eat right and work out.

I was diagnosed with depression years ago. I think this is the probable root cause of my problem. I will be addressing this as soon as I get health insurance.

My question is, have any other guys here experience something similar? I am trying to find possible causes to discuss with my physician/psychologist. Thanks!

You are by no means alone man. Keep up the exercise, in fact, really pick that up. Hopefully you'll get to see a therapist soon but a few years ago when I was depressed it was working out that pulled me out of my slump.

Also read these threads, they are people going through what you are going through and there are helpful tips to moving on.

Yes, you are not alone.... it happened to me about 6 years ago, I started dating a pretty hot chick, well we would start to play around get hot for each other, and I just couldn't get it on with her, it was embarrassing, frustrating, it was not fuckin fair, she just figured that I was not interested in her, and gave up on me.

I think it lasted like 2 months, or less, went on a fuck fest after that! ;)

Thanks guys!

Beer I should have elaborated more I guess. I'm not having any problems getting past the relationship. I've had a number of serious relationships ranging from 6 months to 4 years, and I initiated this last breakup. I am doing all the usual things, going out hanging out with friends, etc.

I guess I was hoping for anyone with any experience with low sex drive in particular. I appreciate it though!

Perhaps try getting a blood test to have your hormone levels checked out? Particularly testosterone, LH, FSH, and prolactin
