are protein shakes a good meal replacement or alright in general if one is on a low carb diet?
Cytosport whey has 0%, Iron-Tek has 1%, so I'm assuming all whey protein is VERY low in carbs.
BSN Syntha-6 is the best tasting protein imo, but it is not all whey it is a meal replacement shake and it has 5% per serving.
Pretty ideal for low carb diets. I have two a day with plenty of fats added. But i also have 4 other solid meals.
try a casein/whey blend... it'll keep you fuller longer than straight whey...
so they are pretty good then? sounds cool. i assume theres a limit on them or no? one guy said he drinks two a day? i just had my first one today ( pretty ) and wouldnt mind having more than one a day
im doing alot of cardio and not much weight training yet. does this matter?
should i not drink them if im not lifting ?
damn, syntha 6 is fucking tasty. depends on the flavor though, the mochachino one is delicious, but the cookies n cream sucks.
Syntha-6 has like 22g of carbs per serving.
I used muscle milk when i was low carbing it.
no carb Isopure
milk protein isolate from true protein is pretty good
