I saw my first GTo today
i can't believe that's the base vette now
CTS-V and the GTO are rumored to be getting this engine for 05 or 06 too.
is the Ls2 engine completely new, redesign from scratch? or its just a tweaked ls1?
I wouldn't bet on that. Especially since the CTS-V already has the same HP as the C6. The GTO is already getting more HP for 2005, but nobody knows how much more yet. 375hp by the Aussie media, 375-400hp is being speculated here.
Cant wait to see if the LS7 motor is a rumor or not.
I was wondering how the LS2 dyno would compare to the LS6 just as I scrolled down to see it
That should shut up the "no z06, no care" people in the c6 thread earlier today
i thought that was only on the LS7
hm, i could have sworn all the spec sheets for the LS2 i've seen have said 2v/cyl
427 should make that easily
the z06 rumor i really want to know about is the chassis...
i read somewhere that the c6 z06 will use aluminum frame rails :sub3000poundvette:
HOLY SAND BAGGING BATMAN!!! Torque should not fall off so dramatically after 4500rpm should it? It looks broken.
it's not dropping off as much as it looks...the scale on the left of that graph is pretty compressed
plus, that would just indicate to me that there's a restriction of air somewhere, should be easy to mod probably the cat or something
why doesn't torque = hp at the same point for both engines
