na > supercharged > turbo
you are wierd
Not even close
do u start these stupid threads for attention?
LT-anything >>> *Northstar...ever
Not so sure about LT5 >>> LSx, though The fanboy in me says 'Yes,' the realist says 'Maybe not so much.'
If there was a 'new LT5,' built with as much effort and maybe even more know-how than the LS-series has been built, then that would be interesting.
I mean, Porsche is getting just over 600hp with the same displacement(5.7L, right??). Might be a case of V8 vs V10, but I don't see why GM wouldn't be able to match that.
Just in throttle response, and without the aid of electronics or anti-lag.
LSX> LSx> LT5> Northstar
negative ghost rider
Guy around here used an LQ something in his Camaro.
GM announced the end of Northstar development.
LSx = wave of the future
That would be interesting.
First I've heard of this... link?
would like to see a stroker lt5
Isn't the LQ the truck version (bigger, non aluminium) of the LS series??
thats the 6 liter truck block
I dont remember if its the caddy 6liter, with higher compression and better heads or if its the gmc/chevy block
I think so. I think it was a hybrid (2 different source engines, not prius) motor. Boosted plus a 200 shot or something insane.
Two versions of the LQ. LQ4 and LQ9. Only difference was in the cylinder heads. The block are indentical.
northstar>lsx? c'mon rich.
Oh yeah, definitely 'interesting,' but not necessarily the best way to do things. I'm not sure if the results of a DOHC would be any better than what GM gets out of their OHV engines.
I really don't like how the Northstars seemed to just stagnate. I know there was the V-Series version with the supercharger...but not many others do, because no one buys the V-series Caddies other than the CTS.
Yes, DOHC 32v V8 made by mercury.....amirite?
