My new Mac Pro seems to get the kernel panic screen whenever I'm transferring files to or from another computer on my network. This has happened on two different networks with two different other computers. The problem definitely is with my Mac Pro. I have 1gb of apple ram and 4gb of ram from kingston. I ran memtest and it said everything was okay with my ram. I then ran the apple hardware (extended) test off my boot CD and it too said everything was good. I called apple tech support today and they suggested creating a new user account and trying that out. I still got the panic when transferring files from the new account to my MacBook Pro. If anyone can help me out I'll shoot them $5-10 bucks on paypal or find some way to compensate you for helping me. Apple also suggested an archive and install, but I really don't want to do that because I'd have to re-install all my applications (CS3 Suite, Lightroom, etc). So any suggestions other than re-installing the OS, I'll give them a try. Thanks.
