I'd roll in one. No question.

A 911 Cabriolet is going to be compromised a bit, like most coupes that are turned into convertibles. On the other hand, the Boxster was designed as a 'vert, so it's business as usual. You can also get the best of the Boxsters for $20k+ less than a regular 911 Cab.

I've spent plenty of time in a 996 911 Cab and didn't find it compromised at all. It's a bit heavier, as you would expect, but it's still a great driving car.

I'm sure Porsche works hard to minimize the difference. That's probably where some of the extra $11k in the pricetag goes.

Sure it's still good, but with the Boxster you know the car is at its absolute best.
