killing 3 people because he claimed his car accelerated for no reason. Do you think hes telling the truth or really did just accelerated on his own into a car killing 3 people? He was not under drugs or alcohol and was driving his pregnant wife. He was jailed in 1996. edit 2006

I wouldn't see why not because the car put him and his pregnant wife in harm. Then he got jailed for it. He can sue everyone.

The jury was probably mostly black since the 3 that died were black.

Hard to believe but a lot of people's suckage at driving far outweighs any potential "unintended acceleration" problems.

I had a 1996 camry back in the day and it once happened to me

Thankfully I had plenty of room to stop/put in to neutral by the time I realized my car was still accelerating despite my foot off the gas and on the brake

nothing happened to his family though right? His big law suit would be coming from the jail time you would think? However the family of the 3 victims might have a nice lawsuit on their hands now :o

I don't understand how this going into neutral thing doesn't work. Doesn't seem possible to me.

this is America. you can sue for almost anything

toyota has more money than the judge or prosecutor though so might as well go for the money

On a '96 Camry? Shouldn't be any problems getting it into neutral. Not a drive by wire throttle body either. Just a shitty driver. :mamoru:
