I've never really trained heavy deadlift before. I would always shoot for ~8 reps and concentrate on form, speed, and the lockout. I finally said screw it and tried to go for a max just to see where I was at. I threw on 405 hoping to be able to squeeze one out, and I busted out 3 like it wasn't shit! I could have done more but my hands started slipping off the bar because the knurling was worn down smooth just about and I didnt have chalk. Not the most weight ever, but it definately shocked the shit out of me. Judging by how easy that went up I have no doubt I'd be able to throw 2 more plates on there and get 495....gonna try that next week.
