So, I'm talking to a recruiter wed about going OCS after I graduate in december. The ROTC cadre on campus is telling me that I should stay in college for another two years and go ROTC/SMP (I want to join ARNG). I'm tired of college and feel like I'm spinning wheels, still being 24 and in college. OCS Advantage: Takes less time than ROTC, pays off student loans. ROTC Advantage: Get a master's degree. If you could pick between the two, would you choose to go OCS after graduation in december, or join ROTC this semester and stick it out for an extra year and a half while doing SMP in the guard?
