does any one here know what kind of metal metallica and iron maiden are please and thank you.
Heavy... Of course.
Iron Maiden would be heavy, old Metallica (Kill 'Em All, And Justice For All, and Master Of Puppets) would be Thrash Metal. The rest of metallica would be probably heavy metal.
Iron Madien was something different than the dumb cock/hair metal and the darker sabath wannabes
Back When Metallica was first out they were considered Hardcore Metal, But Metal has evolved if you havent notice, There both BADA$$ Bands In My BOOK no matter what
No back when Metallica was first out they were considered Thrash Metal, like I said before. Metallica and Megadeth were the one of the firsts to pioneer that genre.
Iron Maiden could be labeled Power metal based on their lyrics.
Dave Mastagne (sp) was the creater of 'trash' metal if i remember correctly. He started off in Metallica and then was kicked out and started his own band, Megadeth.
old metallica = thrash
new metallica = bullshit
Maiden = power metal
lol. new metallica= bullshit. you hit the nail on the head
dudes lets be real, the only cool thing about metallica is thier band name, and Pantera could totally kick their assses!
woot for Devin Townsend
you cant forget slayer when you say thrash. and also was after metallica and slayer. Mustaine got kicked out of metallica and he formed megadeth a year or two after kill em all. Megadeth really wasnt the pioneer of thrash they were the pioneer of speed metal maybe the first speed metal band. but no question they all are amazing
metallica(kill em all to master of puppets-thrash)
iron maiden(heavy metal)
pantera is a great band. but i heard before they got phil anselmo i heard that they were a glam band. but it might not be true.
the 3 albums before phil were, & the first one (pre-cowboys from hell) was too.
wtf thread revive
Iron Maiden = Power / Prog Metal
Old Metallica = Thrash / Speed metal. though ...And Justice for All was considered by many to be a prog album, their style varried, but the one constant was a very distinguishable sound that became synonomous with thrash.
I'd label both bands as American Metal.
yes, its them
i so fucking hate labeling genres of music, people like different shit. i like megadeth, i like old metallica. i like pantera. i actually like some new metallica. its called music people.
