    I thinks thats MSRp. Mine will be about 1700. :o Most people would scoff at paying that much for a handgun, but's it hard to understand if you've never shot one or handled one.

    I used to be a fan of the high quality custom 1911's but anymore I would rather have a GI or Mil Surp 1911. I am happy with a 2-3" group and know it's going to function if it gets muddy or dirty.

    If you're getting a custom 1911 I highly suggest you look at a Valtro. They make some really nice pieces, but aren't cheap though.

    I want to buy a nice 1911 but know nothing about them. i've heard to stay away from eternal extractors and mim parts... does nighthawk use mim parts?

    The build parts, and you would have to have a smithy put it together. They are known for their 10mm 1911s

    maybe i'll just save up for a wilson or springfield professional :dunno: i thought about getting a TRP but i've heard that the quality is hit or miss with the non custom shop springfields.
