I found a D70s and a D200 for pretty cheap and Ive been considering it

I was planning on purchasing a 5Dmk1 or a 7D in the near future, but I dont shoot video so..... still contemplating. I was going to buy a 40D near the end of this month too
Ive also had my eye on a 1Dmk2N for quite some time

the price for the 30mm and the 50mm nikon glass is really making me want to switch :o

might :sadwavey: to Canon :noes:

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard...

But then again this is a slimeball thread.

You're totally doing the "switching to Nikon" thing wrong here. If you want to do this, at least get a good Nikon.

The D200 was kind of a fail camera. I felt absolutely no joy shooting mine.

I've got a t2i...I'll probably wait and upgrade to ff in a year or two. The D7000 is tempting, I'd definitely jump ship for a d3/d3s.

I guess the real question is what Canon body you have now, there's no way of really telling if you'd be up/downgrading without knowing.

having owned a d70 and a d200, and now owning a d300 and a d7000 I have to say you're going the wrong way. those cameras are quite outdated compared to today's standard, the D200 is before the big sensor upgrade they made on the d300, you will feel the difference hurting you.

If you want nikon for reasonably cheap go for a d7000, you won't regret it
