Does it make a difference if my AR15 stripped lower and my parts kit are different brands?
No, I have two non-DPMS lowers with DPMS parts kits in them.
Nice, I bought a Bushmaster lower on saturday and during my week long waiting period I've started ordering parts, bought a DPMS parts kit and some inexpensive starter optics tonight. I was going to take my time with this build.. its only been 2 days
unless you are buying some 2stage match trigger yadda yadda whatever, all of those LPKs are the damn same
buy the cheapest one you can find
I have a DPMS lpk, my buddies all have DPMS lpks, one guys has an older RRA non-match lower RRA lpk. You cant tell the difference.
yeah, i'll never buy a DPMS parts kit
Think I got a DPMS LPK for mine and as much as richk hates on them for their bizzare commercial, he likes the single-stage trigger it came with.
Are the parts different in some sort of measurable or demonstrable way or is this one of those "well I'm just sure this one has to be of lesser quality, it costs less" things?
Label something as "milspec" and it's bound to cost more than the same thing with a different SKU.
Milspec bolts/bolt carriers are supposed to be magnetic particle inspected or some shit that supposedly detects defects in the material (thus weeding out the duds early), but I'm not so sure about a LPK.
