Why is it that my cable modem won't work when plugged into my HDP 2500. Also, is it bad to hook my wireless router into this?

Oh, and what does the button that says Switched mean?

don't run the coax cable through the power center, it can knock out the return frequencies and cause your modem to not work. same goes for a cable box, your on demand service might stop working or your box might go into brick mode because it can't phone home every once in a while

Yeah, I didn't do that but I am talking about the actual power.

Switched means the outlets are switched. You have to press a button on the front of the unit and it will turn on the switched outlets. AS far as coax, don't run it through the power center.

That doesn't make sense to me though. Outlets switched?
