I dont see the big deal if the waivers have to be signed by a Brig. General; doubt they would just let any felon in.
As long as they're fit for duty mentally, then i dont see the huge problem. I dont know, but I would imagine if the person fucks up one way or another while they are in, the felony charge will show on their record and i would assume more precautions would be taken with them, in the event. i.e shorter leash on them etc.

I dont see how they can bypass the Lautenberg amendment OR the gun ban for felons....not even to fulfill their numbers :dunno:

    yeah.

but srsly, it's a tiny number of Marines/soldiers. Saw this on CNN and they were making a huge stink out of it, and I don't really see what al the fuss was about.

Well considering that the non convicts cant seem to behave themselves, it shouldn't be too much of a difference.
course that doesn't apply to everyone. but yea, woo

"Hey guys! We're insignificant in the world events - we can't afford the planes we want and don't have enough of the planes everyone else needs! Our answer is to get rid of airmen and draw down so that we can afford all the doo-hickeys that noone needs and at the same time try to justify our existance by trying to steal the cyberspace fight from the other services! Go Blue Falcons!"

Add the Air Force to the list that allows convicted felons to enlist.
